lovely

My Valentines Day with Tommy was lovely. He took me to dinner on Monday night and yesterday I got roses, chocolates, and my favorite sent (lavender) of body wash, bubble bath, and bath beads in the mail. I couldn't ask for more from him. Our second Valentines Day :).

Spring cant come soon enough! Pastels are in which I'm excited about. Also the color orange. I'm not the biggest orange fan but I'll give it a chance :). My aunt came over with an orange barre she bought for me the other night- perfect timing. And of course, my favorite, floral print.

This weekend I found myself questioning my friendships. There were so many fun events going on, however I felt very alone. On two different occasions I was left alone, wandering the streets and it really got me thinking. Walking alone through crowds of friends I started to wonder; where is mine? what had happened? How can some people stay so close for so long and others drift and can never regain that friendship. I need to stop being so naive and stick with the people I know will always want my company and make me feel loved and accepted. There is so much going on in my life right now, it is so difficult to focus these days. It's beginning to be too much to handle. Maybe I'm better off in my bedroom alone with a book, my cats and a cup of tea.

On a lighter note; Since fall has come around I've been back to my earth toned clothing. To make my outfits stand out I've been wearing bright pastel and metallic colored lipstick to add a pop of color. I have also been experimenting with mixing patterns. Two different types of floral, or stripes and floral, or leopard skin and floral.

Elizabeth Olsen's mix matched patterns work perfectly together:

"There is a harmony in autumn, and a luster in its sky, which through the summer is not heard or seen, as if it could not be, as if it had not been."
